I was struggling last week and Psalms 62 came to my mind (I don’t know why but it did). So I read it every day. This verse in particular stuck out: “Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.”…

“…Anyone who walks in the daytime will not stumble, for they see by this world’s light. It is when a person walks at night that they stumble, for they have no light.” John 11:9-10 We use the light to walk because it is very helpful in preventing us from stumbling, right? But…

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy: I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”   John 10:10 (NIV) Watch out for the thief this week!   He comes in many different forms… and we don’t always recognize them!

“For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”  Luke 14:11 (NIV)  It’s so easy with social media to talk about how well we are doing no matter what the circumstances may be. We have to be careful and remember to keep ourselves humble…

“…for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.” Rom 2:1b (NIV) We have to be very careful in how we look at others because it is clear our judgment will fall squarely back on us! I do this…

“Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit  – you choose.” Prov 18:20 (MSG) We Choose!  Let’s make sure the words we use this week are fruit and not poison.

Weekly Ration ”A gentle response defuses anger, but a sharp tongue kindles a temper-fire.”  Prov 15:1 (NIV) Sharp tongue always loses – and I forget this every time! The reminder for this week is to use a gentle response as much as we can!

Do you know what God’s phone number is? It’s 3-33. Jeremiah 3:33 to be exact: “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”  Dial Him up – He may not pick up right away but He always answers at some point!
