Hustle
I’ve been hustling a lot lately as it relates to my job. Lots of follow up required for current loans, lots of follow up required for clients out looking at homes, and lots of follow up with future clients who are interested in potentially purchasing a home.
Hustle has always been part of my life from an early age, so this isn’t unusual for me as I don’t mind putting in the work, but lately it seems everyone needs a little extra TLC right now more so than usual.
Even when I tried to take some time off and head to the beach for a couple of days last week the clients were calling calling calling needing things. And when your business is 100% commission, you can’t just ignore the phone forever… because if you do, they will end up finding someone else to work with and you’ll go broke.
How is your hustle right now at work? Are you burned out and tired of putting in the work needed to get it done? Or do you put your head down and make it happen no matter what the circumstances are?
A Real Christian Businessman knows that someone that hustles is someone that is honoring God. People are watching us… and if we are slackers, they equate that to being lazy and as being someone that is not utilizing their God given talents to glorify Him.
So no matter what your job is, homemaker, pottery artist, current or retired Music Industry executive, or Loan Officer, do your daily tasks with hustle and as if you are working for The Real Man… and let’s show others “How We Do”!
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for man, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” Coll 3:23-24 (NIV)
