She Did It!
My daughter found out last week that she made the college dance team at the college she will be attending this Fall! This is a big deal, because it is extremely competitive trying to make a college dance line – but especially this one!
She has been dancing all of her life and doubled down on practicing last year to make this specific dance line. She focused particularly on dance techniques that they do, did extra practicing, worked out with former members from that dance line, received additional one on one instruction just for these tryouts, and basically did all that she could to ensure that she made it.
AND SHE DID!
How many times at your vocation have you done everything you can do to make sure you got a promotion or became an even better employee?
-Talked to co-workers that were in a position that you desired to be in in order to see what it takes to be where they are?
-Practiced and learned new skills that make you a better employee?
-Took classes or training so that it improved your work?
A Real Christian Businessman knows that God gave us gifts and he wants us to use them to his glory. Displaying to others you work with a focused effort to want to improve shows that we don’t take for granted the gifts that have been given to us.
So double down on something new at work like my daughter did with her efforts to make the dance line! Learn a new skill, focus on some training, do something to be a better contributor to your workplace, set your sites on a promotion.
It will not only reflect on us as we improve who we are, but will also reflect to others that we care about what God has done for us.
