Pretty Smart
““Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.” Prov 17:28 (ESV)
My son has taught me this verse first hand.
As I have watched him grow up, I have noticed he is a very silent type. Chill. Unflappable.
In most situations he just doesn’t speak. He watches, observes and listens.
I frequently remind myself that I need to be more like my son… as I am the opposite of him and talk way too much!
Let’s practice keeping silent more this week – for reasons other than just being though of as wise!
