An Easy One
“How was your weekend?”
Option 1:
“Aw it was great, had family in town for Easter, did an Easter egg hunt for the little ones in the backyard and played some golf Sunday afternoon with my brother in laws – we don’t get to do that enough!”
Option 2:
“Man it was amazing, we had a bunch of family come to town and we went to a resurrection sunrise service down by the river to celebrate all that Jesus did for us, had a great family dinner together and then had our annual Easter egg hunt inside our house – even though our kids are teenagers they still love it!
Which option do you choose?
A Real Christian Businessman uses opportunities like this weekend to allow people to know what drives our joy and pushes us forward. Celebrating Jesus death and resurrection has been going on for a very long time, and each year it seems we move further away from the “why” we celebrate to more of “this is a family holiday in the spring.”
We can make a small difference in the world by letting the folks we work with know that it’s not just another holiday to us, but is the crux of the whole reason we are Christians and Christians in the workplace.
What an opportunity we have! Our simple 1-2 sentence response goes a long way in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ in our workplace in a very simple way (they asked us how our weekend was – didn’t they?!).
