Mine

As we continue in our stay at home quarantine with my wife’s parents (I don’t call them in-laws because they treat me so well!), I have noticed myself becoming a little more selfish.   I continue to think more and more about what I need as opposed to what others might need.

-I need time alone to recharge (I’m an introvert as hard as that might seem for some of you to believe) … but it is a little harder to do while in such closed quarters.

-I want to watch a certain show on the TV while other want to watch something else.

-I didn’t plan on helping with that project right now as I was in the middle of something.

-Schoolwork help is needed immediately… not later when I am more available and/or willing.

Me, me me!  I want to think about all of the things I need and I want to do.  But it’s not all about me during this time – ESPECIALLY during this time! A Real Christian businessman knows that we need to think about others needs even more than our own, as everyone is handling this pandemic/stay at home thing differently.  Have we stopped to think about how this is all affecting each family member in our household instead of only being concerned with how it is affecting ourselves?

Use your time this week to see how you can serve and think about others needs above your own.  I know we all have our own things to be concerned about, but when we put others needs ahead of our own; somehow our needs get taken care of as well.
