Stand Firm 2

I got challenged on it.

Twice.

Someone at my workplace asked me why I acted the way I did when it came to treating others the way I treated them.  Even when they noticed someone was rude to me in a meeting, or a different person took all of the credit for my work on a project, I would still be kind to them whenever I saw them. I would still treat them respectfully.

On a different day some people were standing around talking about how bad our leadership was. They were discussing how they “didn’t have a clue” about the decisions they had made; just all around bad mouthing them.   I so much wanted to join in!  But on this particular day I didn’t say anything and eventually just walked away.

As a Real Christian Businessman, we will have times where we will be challenged by others to explain why we act the way we do. We also will have to stand firm in our faith when we are around those who are talking negatively about others (aka – gossip!).

I was able to weather the storm in these two instances… but have fallen short many other times!

Situations like this will come up again and again.  Let’s use this verse below as a reminder this week to be on guard – and stand firm!

“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.“ 1Cor 16:13 (NIV)
