“I Gotcha”

Recently our family went on vacation to the nation’s capitol.  This was the first time our kids had ever been so it was something we all were looking forward to doing with them – even though it wasn’t an amusement park/water park or something “fun” like that.

We stayed at a hotel in Arlington outside of the city and rode the train in and out every day.  Several times we were on the train during rush hour – and didn’t quite know which train to get off or on!  Their system isn’t that complicated it was just that we weren’t always 100% sure which train we needed to ride.

During one of our rush hour “moments of confusion” a commuter woman standing next to us noticed we were talking/struggling regarding which train to get on next and she asked us where we were headed.  We told her and she immediately said “follow me, I gotcha” and took us to the train we needed to go to and got on with us.  She helped guide us to the stop we needed to be at, all while we were crunched up face to face with all the other commuters going home!

This experience made me wonder – how well am I guiding others that I work with?

As a Real Christian Businessman Jesus made it clear I am to help those around me.  I should support others and help guide those that I am working with when I notice they may be struggling with what direction they need to go or are having a difficult time with a particular task.

Let’s make efforts this week to help someone who may need a little “guidance” as they navigate their jobs.

It’s not that hard to do – especially if we will just look around for the opportunity.
