Who You Hangin’with?
If you chase after what other people have who have obtained it in the wrong way, you will always fall short.
I have seen it happen over and over again, and still see it happening today.
I’m not saying don’t be ambitious. Desire to succeed in whatever way that may be for you. Try to always do your best. Your reward will come in different ways.
But be careful how close you get to those that get to where they are going by doing it in the wrong way.
We live in a culture today that says anything we want to do is ok. To cut corners in our vocation is ok to do. Sure sometimes people get caught, but they don’t have to pay much of a price, do they? Country club prison or something like that? If everyone else is doing it, why shouldn’t we? Even if we know deep in our heart that something doesn’t seem right, the culture continues to push us to do it anyway.
As a Real Christian Businessman I am encouraging you today to do what is right, deep down in your heart, and also to align yourself with those that are trying to do things the right way and stay away from those that are not.
Should you ridicule someone at work just because everyone else is?
Should we always leave early when you know that no one is watching- because everyone else is?
How should you handle your expense account?
Do you always enter things into the inventory system accurately?
Don’t hang out too much with those that are against what you know to be right. It serves to protect us all in the end.
