Closing the loop

How many times did I pray this week, and ask God to help me with something?  How many times did I tell someone I was going to do something and then I did it?  How many times did I start something and then I didn’t finish it?

Or not.

Or I forgot.

Or I didn’t follow through.

Or I let someone down.

How many?

A Real Christian Businessman knows that closing the loop is a critical part to being who we are and who we strive to be.  My encouragement today is for us to recognize that we all don’t follow through sometimes, but what will separate you and I from the rest of the pack and remain and become a Real Christian Businessman is how many times we actually DO follow through and close the loop.

Like giving God audible praise for answering the specific prayer we prayed.

Like following through and helping that person like we said we would.

Like actually FINISHING something we start, and not leaving it 85% completed (my specialty!).

Closing the loop is not as hard as we may think it is.  It takes a change in our mindset first.  It takes a change in our actions second.  It is a mindset and action that we have to work towards always having, and we need to begin to live this daily (hourly!) so that it becomes a regular part of our lives.

“Better is the end of a thing than a beginning…” Ecclesiastes 7:8 (ESV)

Start closing the loop.  Be counter-cultural.  Be a Real Christian Businessman.  Let your example lead the way for others.  It can make all the difference in the world to many, and it is how God intended for us to be.

You can do it!
